Toronto-based kitchen rental startup Syzl was declared the PITCH competition winner at Collision 2023.
The competition, open to early-stage startups that have received less than $5 million in funding and have yet to change their business models significantly in the last three years, saw participation from over 1,700 startups from 30 industries and 76 countries.
Syzl, founded by Azrah Manji-Savin in 2021, connects food-makers with underused commercial kitchen spaces. The platform currently has over 1,000 users and offers access to 70 kitchens. Manji-Savin emphasized the importance of supporting immigrant communities, who often rely on food sales as a primary source of income, by providing them with the means to scale and grow their businesses.
